GO BEARS!!!

Sorry it has been a while since I posted. (Kenyon is almost ready to drive. HA HA Jennie!) We went to Idaho Falls for baseball last weekend. It was so cold. The wind was horrible. I was so thankful that my mom took Klaire for the whole weekend or I would have ended up watching games from the car. We played some tough teams. They only won 1 of 4 games but they played their hearts out.

Jon road the Harley up so we could stay an extra night with some friends and then have a nice ride home on Sunday. Well let me tell you that the weather did not cooperate. We took the scenic route home which ended up being 8 hours because we had to keep stopping to get warm. I was so sad because this was my first big ride and it was miserable. I guess I was mistaken that it was the middle of June!!

MORE BASEBALL!!!

This year they played in the Rocky Mountain league but they also played in Baty's league so this meant traveling down to Roy on Tuesdays or Thursdays on top of the double headers on Saturdays. Well these boys went undefeated in the Baty's league and won the championship game. I was so proud of them. It was nice to see such a deserving bunch of young boys win! I didn't have my camera so I'll post a picture when I get one from someone who did have a camera.

Kenyon's biggest dream was to hit a home run this season. He has been hitting the ball so well, mostly doubles and triples with only a couple of strike outs (this is pretty big considering we have played over forty or fifty games). A few weeks ago he accomplished his dream. He hit a inside the park home run!! You should have seen this hit. He smacked it clear out in left field. It hit the fence. Kenyon ran his guts out! (He is not the fastest runner) I think if Jon would have tried to hold him on Third base he would have ignored him cuz he was so focused on getting a home run. These are some pictures of him sliding into home and this team mates paying him off. What a great day. I was so glad I was their to witness it! WAY TO GO KENYON!!

Kamberlyn had her dance review a couple of weeks ago. She did awesome. She has really enjoyed Vadels this year. I was a little nervous to switch her from Dance fFctory. She absolutely loved her teachers and she had lots of friends that also took from there but we decided to try something new with her and it worked out great. She will be preforming @ the stadium of fire on the fourth of July. We can't wait to go stay with grandma for a few days. Candice and kids will also be here from Tennessee YEA!!

Klaire is as funny as ever. She is now 20 months old. She has such a sweet personality but man watch out when she doesn't get her own way (Which is never cuz she is spoiled). She is trying to potty train already (YEA for me!!) She is also talking in full sentences. It is so cute ,the kids and I can have a conversation with her now. I can already tell she is going to be a very busy 2 year old.

TURK-O-BUG

When I woke up on Sunday morning this is what I find. Kamberlyn standing with a big smile on her face saying happy mothers day. She is holding this rock that she made in school. His name is turk-o-bug. These are the moments that I know are not going to last forever. She had told me that she needed a rock for school for a science experiment. (Pretty cleaver huh?) It's days like this that remind me how privileged I am to be a mother.

I also wanted to let my mom & my mother-in-law know how much I love and appreciate them. They are always there when we need them. I couldn't ask for better examples in my life. Happy Mothers Day. We love you guys so much!!!!

Weekend fun

Kamberlyn had her first ever dance competition on Saturday. She was so dang cute. It brought tears to my eyes along with a whole flood of memories (go bees). This time I was on the mom side of enjoying competitions. Nothing like spending ALL day on the most comfortable set of bleachers you could ever imagine only to get to watch you daughter for a total of maybe 5 MINUTES!!! It was all worth it to see her out there shaking her stuff. Klaire went to my moms thank goodness. I can't imagine chasing her around @ one of those things.

Kenyon started spring baseball on Sat. Jon had to work and I was with Kamberlyn so Grandma Sylvia made the trip to Morgan. They played fantastic. Kenyon hit 2 doubles and 4 singles. They won both games. He also pitched really well. He was so excited to see his grandma, she moved to Orem in January so we don't see her very much.

Klaire had her 18 month well baby check today. Man she is getting so big. She weighs 28 lbs and is 31 inches tall. She is almost as big as Kenyon was at her age. I have a feeling she will take after Kenyon more than Kamberlyn... She is a busy toddler who talks and acts like she is 3. Some of the things she says really cracks us up. She is also learning sign language and will sign quite a few signs. She had been watching signing time videos and loves them. I would recommend them to anyone.
OH ya I almost forgot.... This is Jon's new toy!!!

Update

So I haven't posted for a while. Not much has been going on but it sure feels like I haven't had any time to do anything. (Funny how that works!) The kids are really busy. Kamberlyn is getting ready for competition with Vadels so this means practice, practice and more PRACTICE. Kenyon has started baseball YEA!! Have I mentioned how much I love spring ball. It is so much fun traveling all over. Our team is great. We are so lucky to have an amazing group of boys. The best part about it is all the parents are just as excited. We had a tournament last Saturday but it was canceled because winter made an ugly return. They play this Saturday so I'll keep you posted. Both kids are also playing city league soccer. (I know, I know!!) Work is great. I am working labor and delivery @ BRVH. I take call 3 times a week. Some weeks I work lots and others not at all. What is great is I get to be home more with Jon and the kids. Jon is busy with work, school, and coaching baseball. I will post pictures of ball and competitions soon.

Gotta love shut down

So Jon is working Nucor shut down this week and let me tell you it is the longest week ever. Can you say single parent for a week! The only good thing about it is the paycheck, but we don't enjoy that until next week. At least this time he is working day shifts. I swear every other shut down he is stuck on graveyards. Friday I'm going shopping with my girlfriends yea! (I think I deserve it). Another fun thing I have been doing this week is taking care of Kamberlyn, she has strep throat. She started having lower right abdominal pain and I thought great her appendix but it turned out to be strep throat. Lets hope the rest of us don't get it. (Thank goodness for Lysol wipes.) By the way I took her to Melanie Hughes, NP and she was the best. Go see her next time you get sick. Thanks to everyone that voted for Klaire. I appreciate all your support but she didn't win.

I need all of your help so she can be crowned queen!! Please call or e-mail her name to The Leader newspaper before Feb 29th. She is in the 2006 age group. Winners will be announced on March 5th. Here's the info.....
