Happy Day!!

Klaire is officially potty trained. OH happy day!! She has actually been trained for a couple of weeks but I have been to busy to update. My diaper buying days are OVER!

The WARM California SUN

For spring break we headed to California with the Merritt family and the Mecham family. The real reason we went was to see the Boston Red Sox play the Anaheim Angles. We had to make the most of it so that gave us a good excuse to go play for 5 days. We left on Wednesday April 8th when the kids got home from school and drove to Primm NV. Have any of you been to Primm? It is the last city before you get to the California border. Jerian got our rooms for $5.00. Yes I am serious 5 bucks!! The rooms were OK. Not a 5 star hotel or anything but better than we expected for 5 bucks. The beds were really hard and Jon and I had Klaire sleeping with us so we didn't sleep that good. Jon ended up @ 5am. He went and sat @ the 21 table for about an hour and ended up winning $45.00. So they payed us to stay there HA HA.

Day 2 was a wasted day cuz we still had to drive 4 hours to our hotel. Well we got there and got settled in then went to the beach for a few hours. The weather was pretty crappy. Only about 65 degrees with some wind. The kids could have cared less they swam, played in the sand and of course the boys played baseball (who would have thought).

Day 3 we went to Universal Studios in Hollywood. What a fun place especially for smaller kids. They had some rides that were fun. The mummy (Awesome) Jurassic park (water ride) and the Simpson's (One of those motion rides, BARF!) They also have a bunch of shows that were all really good and a back lot studio tour (this shows you where some of the movies are made and how, really cool.) The weather was cool but perfect for us. I think it helped because not as many people were out. The lines weren't that bad. We were able to see everything in 1 day.
